Back to Blogging...

Well, I decided to catch up on blogging before I go out of town for the rest of the week. Mary is getting married this weekend! Mary, Nelson and I are headed down to St. George/Panaca this afternoon. Not only has getting ready for the wedding made things crazy, but also lots and lots of visitors made things busy around here. Here are a few highlights from the last couple of weeks:

Nelson talking to two of his new friends! He loved having friends over and even got into his first fight over a toy. Richard gave him a good talking to about sharing after that.

Six of the twelve girls that went to Romania to work in orphanage Fall 2004 got together at our house. It was fabulous to see them (and some husbands and kids)!

Nelson met his newest cousin, Adelaide. He liked kissing her (but occasionally he would lick her). I like this picture of him trying to eat her head. It was fun to see my brother, sis-in-law, and niece since they live in a different country.

Now we are off to the wedding! I cannot wait to see my whole family, be in the St. George temple, and enjoy the warm sun! (The above picture was taken by Warner Photography a couple of weeks ago.)

General Conference Weekend

I love Conference Weekend!

Conference is family time. It was different this time around since it was the first General Conference we have watched with Nelson. We didn't hear every word, but he did a good job trying to be quiet! He definitely made us slow down a bit since people love to get together during conference. It was nice to be at home and together all four sessions (since every minute we weren't watching conference Richard's mom had him helping her).

Conference is spiritually fed time. Great talks with messages to help you improve yourself. What is better than that? Of course, I really loved the messages about mothers... now that I am one!

Conference is mission reunion time. The Romania Bucuresti mission has a mission reunion every conference! I love it! I love seeing the missionaries I served with or taught at the MTC! This mission reunion was no exception. My mission president and his wife just got called on a temple mission to Sweden, so they will be there for the next two years. I will miss them since I really do think of them as an extra set of parents.

Whose got the flava'?

So I don't even like ice cream, but I wanted to take this quiz just to find out what I would taste like if I were ice cream.
