Nelson has the roseola virus. I took him into the doctor today because he has been really fussy the past few days and today he suddenly had a high fever. They checked everything and then told me that he most likely has this virus. He has all of the symptoms with fussiness, lack of appetite, sleepiness, and high fever. I read up on it tonight and it said that the fever will last 3 - 5 days and then a rash will break out. Nothing can be done for it since it is a virus. Poor baby! So, I guess I'll be in the house for the next few days holding and comforting my baby.

The Two Boys
Two weeks ago I started watching our good friends and neighbors' baby boy, Karver. Most people, including myself, think I'm crazy to be watching an 8-week-old when I have my own 10-month-old. Well, to tell you the truth, I have been pleasantly surprised by how well it is going. Nelson loves to have a friend around! I just have to keep Karver high and off the ground when Nelson is around or he will smother him with love.

WICKED!

Yes, I am one of those people that has never seen Wicked but has the cd memorized (thanks, James!). Most of you around here in Utah has probably heard that Wicked is coming to Capitol Theater April 8 - May 2, 2009.
This morning I have been searching for the cheapest tickets to go see it. I found $122 tickets on www.jumbotickets.com. I also looked into season tickets at the Capitol Theater for $147 for 4 shows (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Rat Pack, Aint Misbehavin' & Wicked) . Okay, so I normally don't spend this much money on entertainment, but this is Wicked! Richard is okay with me buying either a) a ticket just to Wicked or b) the season tickets, but he doesnt' want to spend twice that amount for us to both go. So, I just want to know if any of you would be interested in getting tickets with me. Maybe, a great "Girls Night(s) Out" activity! Let me know if you are interested!

Really? Two Weeks!
So, today I was looking through blogs and on one of the blogs they had the little tracker feature of when your friends last blogged. Well, under my name it said two weeks since I had last blogged. I couldn't believe it. I guess it has been that long.
I guess I've been trying to just be busy. Besides starting this week with watching Karver (my six-week old neighbor), Richard has been gone the past two weekends (Thursday morning - Saturday night). He was/is at a Boy Scout leader training. I hate when Richard is gone, so I have been trying to keep Nelson and myself busy so we don't have to think about how much we miss him.
Last weekend Nelson and I picked up one of my old roommates, Ali, and her kids in Springville and spent the three days in St. George. It was great to spend time with some family.
Here are some of my favorite pictures of Nelson from the last two weeks.
We went to Thanksgiving Point with some of Nelson's cousins on Richard's side. This cousin, Kezia, just moved to Texas this week. Nelson will miss her.
We stayed at my brother's house in St. George. McKenzee is only two months younger than Nelson, but he is so much bigger than her.
