Nelson's Photo Shoot @ Warner Photography Studio

Our neighbors, the Warner's, called Saturday afternoon and asked if Nelson could come over for a photo shoot. They had set up a little studio in their spare bedroom for some pictures they took earlier in the day of another family in our ward. After the photo shoot was finished, Richard showed up looking soooo good in his church clothes (we were going to our niece's baptism later that day) so we (okay, Mike) took some Dad and son pictures. The pictures turned out so cute! Here are some of my faves . . .

Nelson's 1st Easter...

Nelson had a fabulous 1st Easter! Well, at least I thought it went pretty well!

On Saturday, we had a ward/neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt at the park down the street. Nelson didn't get out of his stroller, but he had a fun time playing with his toys while his parents socialized. I couldn't decide which picture I liked the best of him that day, so here are a few. He is just too cute!

Another picture, Mom?

When Richard & I were engaged, we started o
ur first Easter tradition. Since we love to dress-up, we (well, okay, I) decided to buy hats to use as Easter baskets. That way every year we get new hats for our dress-up box. This year Richard chose a viking hat, I chose a Audrey Hepburn inspired hat, and Nelson chose a little construction hat. (The picture is bad, but you can kinda see the hats.)

Nelson trying to eat his bunny he got in his Easter hat.

We had such a fun morning with the hats and eating yummy cinnamon rolls, Nelson had to take a nap before going to church. Here he is in his little Easter Sunday outfit. If you can't tell, I love to dress him in "little man" clothes. I can't help it. I think they are so cute! And the clothes on him, even cuter!

We ended our Easter with a tasty dinner at our house. We had my brother, Roger, and my sister, Mary, and her fiance' over! It was great to be with family as we celebrated Easter!

We miss Dad!

20+ hours of overtime!

Okay, so the extra money will definitely help pay off Richard's new iMac, but we want our Dad back!

Yesterday Richard left for work at 5:30 am and got home at 11:00 pm. Today was supposed to be his day off (he gets every other Friday off), but he left at 8:00 am and hopefully he will leave work soon (it is after 5:00 pm) just in time for him to go help his Dad in Orem while his Mom has an evening out (his Dad has dementia and needs help with everything).

Some of my family was in town yesterday and today, but it wasn't even that much fun without Richard.

We miss him!

Here's hoping next week we'll have more time with him!

4-months old & so cool!

So, last Thursday, Nelson officially turned 4-months-old! I can't believe how big he is getting! He had his 4-month check-up the Friday before, and we found out that he is 26 1/2 inches long (95%) and 15 lbs (50%). And, he has a small head.
On his 4-month mark, we enjoyed the getting-warm weather outside, but he really didn't like the bright sun so he tried out his new sunglasses. I have to say, he looked pretty cool. Yep, I got one cool little boy! He is definitely a keeper!
Also, this is the one picture we took with our camera at the party. Nelson looked awesome in his cowboy hat and sheriff's badge. (I'll post more pictures of the party when Mike sends them to me. Thank you, Mike, for documenting our life in Loch Lomond for us!)

REAL invite...

Thanks to Mike for spending his whole Spring Break making this totally rad invitation for the party!

So, I posted the information down below to get the word out about it. I was going to then change it to this invitation when Mike finished it, but, of course, I am really blogger-lame and cannot figure out how to erase the old one and post this one of top of the other one.
So, just consider yourself invited twice!
