Nelson's Forgiveness

So, one of Nelson's favorite things to do lately is to take his Dad's books off the bookshelf.  His book of choice today is "The Miracle of Forgiveness".  Ironically, the only thing I can think of that he needs forgiveness for is that of trying to eat Dad's books.  Let's hope he learns that he shouldn't eat Dad's books soon... or Dad learns to move them out of Nelson's eye sight.  We'll see if either of those happens.

All I have to say is these girls really do know how to have fun! Seriously, I have not had that much lively fun in a long time! And, I was happily surprised by some of you - you know who you are, baby!

Thanks to all of you awesome girls who made this night so fun! Thanks to Nicole for the amazing tutu you made me! And, thanks to Karli & Nicole for letting me steal these pictures off your blogs! True to myself, I did not take one picture of this awesomeness!

Girls Night In!

So, I'm pretty sure it is time for a Girls Night, right? Well, I definitely think so and here are my reasons for it:

Reason #1: Richard is going to be gone on a camp-out this Friday.

Reason #2: It's my birthday this coming Sunday, so I need to celebrate with the girls.

Reason #3: It has just been way too long since my last Girls Night.

Reason #4: Girls are way more fun to have a karaoke/dance party with than boys are!

So, here are the plans:

When: Friday, August 22nd

Time: 7:00 - 9:00ish (I still have to take care of Nelson)

Where: 2 N. Cameron St.

Theme: Karaoke/dance/the dress-up box will be out for those who want to spice things up a bit

And, seriously, we're all girls, so you can pull out those dance moves from high school and dust off those vocal cords of yours. There may even be prizes for best moves or vocals, if you are lucky!

Just to get you excited, this is a picture of me at my big 2-6 birthday party bash in California. There are no fashion no-no's when you karaoke!

This is a picture my sister-in-law took. My brother and his fam live in Australia right now. I would love to go visit them!

Favorite Room:

This is Nelson's room. It is my favorite because it's the first place I see my baby in the morning and where I get to rock him to sleep at night.

The tenth picture is supposed to be of your favorite shoes. I usually am really into shoes. I probably have at least 30 pair at any given time, but it is summer, so I just wear flip-flops all the time. I forgot to take a picture of them, so just know that one of the six pair of flip-flops I own is my favorite. Take your pick which pair.
